1st Summer Sneaker Drive – Update #1

We kicked off our 1st Summer Sneaker Drive last week at Coach Scott Fitch’s Fairport Basketball camp. The response was overwhelming as over 90 pairs of sneakers were donated. Thank you so much to all the wonderful members of the community who donated. Special thanks to Coach Fitch and his staff for going above and beyond to support this effort!

We’re continuing the drive at Jack Leasure’s camp at McQuaid this week!

1st Annual Summer Sneaker Drive

Current reports estimate that there are around 300 million people globally that cannot afford shoes. Some of those people live in and around our local community.

In terms of basketball, we all know that you can’t play without sneakers, and those sneakers tend to be expensive. Many basketball sneakers are still in great shape after a season ends. By the time the next season starts, they may be too small for you, but they still have plenty to give. Those sneakers could enable someone else to experience all the joys of playing this great sport.

We are holding our 1st Summer Basketball Sneaker Drive with donation boxes set up at various summer camps in the area. We plan to collect the sneakers, clean them up, and then distribute them to programs in the local community. We ask that you kindly consider donating your used sneakers to help this worthy cause.
